700 PARTICIPANTS JOIN COLOURING CONTEST IN CONJUNCTION WITH IPOH CITY’S 38TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

IPOH, 20 JUNE 2026 – A total of 700 children from Ipoh City participated in the Colouring Carnival in conjunction with Ipoh City’s 38th Anniversary Celebration at the Perak Badminton Arena, MBI Sports Complex today. 

The programme, which started as early as 7.30 am, received encouraging response from parents, children, school students and Ipoh city residents. 

This competition was organised as one of the initiatives of the Ipoh City Council to enliven the city's anniversary celebration, besides encouraging creativity and artistic talent among the community.  

The Colouring Carnival was officiated by Ipoh City Council Secretary A’zman Harun. 

Participants were divided into several categories: Category A for participants aged 10 to 12 years, Category B for participants aged 7 to 9 years, Category C for preschool or kindergarten children aged 4 to 6 years, and Category D involving Ipoh residents. 

The Ipoh City Council would like to extend its appreciation to all participants, parents, teachers and parties involved in making this programme a success.

It is hoped that organising such competitions will continue to foster a spirit of love for the city, strengthen community relations and make Ipoh a cheerful, inclusive and prosperous city.
