AIDILFITRI EXPRESSION 2026 ENLIVENS LORONG SENI IPOH

IPOH, 11 APRIL 2026 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) today organised the Aidilfitri Expression 2026 programme, which was held in a lively atmosphere at Lorong Seni @ Lorong Panglima, Ipoh from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm. 

The programme was officiated by Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, who spent time mingling with visitors and participants involved in the various activities organised. The event was also attended by MBI councillors and heads of departments. 

The Aidilfitri Expression 2026 featured a variety of interesting activities, including: 

1. Raya Poster Colouring Contest for children aged 6 to 12 years;
2. Raya Fashion Show for teenagers aged 13 to 18 years with the theme “Colour Creativity, Showcase Style”;
3. Local handicraft sales;
4. Traditional cultural performances and Gema Warisan Budaya. 

The programme aimed to enliven the Aidilfitri celebration while fostering the spirit of unity, creativity and appreciation for cultural heritage among the local community. 

According to the Mayor of Ipoh, such programmes not only brightened up the atmosphere of the city but also provided a space for the community to gather, create and celebrate the cultural diversity that is the identity of Ipoh. 

The event also received cooperation from various parties, including KMC Medical Centre, as well as support from related agencies. 

MBI hopes that programmes like this will continue to receive strong response and become an ongoing platform in strengthening community relations and promoting Ipoh as a city rich in arts and culture. 

Members of the public who attended also enlivened the atmosphere with a spirit of togetherness and harmony in conjunction with Aidilfitri.
