COURTESY CALL BY PERAK CHIEF SCOUT COMMISSIONER ON MAYOR OF IPOH

IPOH, 22 JULY 2026 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah this morning received a courtesy call from Perak Chief Scout Commissioner Ahmad Azam Shah Abdul Majid at the Ipoh City Council (MBI) Building.

The visit aimed to strengthen collaborative relationship between the Ipoh City Council and the Perak Scouts Association of Malaysia, particularly in implementing youth development, volunteerism, leadership and community activities in Ipoh City.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on potential strategic collaborations in organising programmes which can shape a younger generation that is disciplined, skilled and with a strong spirit of service to society.

The Mayor of Ipoh welcomed the initiative and affirmed MBI's commitment to continue supporting efforts that benefit youth and the local community, in line with the aspiration of making Ipoh a smart, prosperous and liveable city.
