HRH SULTAN OF PERAK AND HRH RAJA PERMAISURI OF PERAK VISIT PERAK PAVILION AT MAHA 2026

SERDANG, 2 SEPTEMBER 2026 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah and HRH Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim visited the Perak Pavilion in conjunction with the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026, held at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) today.  

The arrival of Their Royal Highnesses was welcomed by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, together with the State Government leadership.  

Also present was Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, alongside senior government officers, department heads and representatives of related agencies. 

During the visit, Their Royal Highnesses graciously joined a photo session before touring the Perak Pavilion and exhibition areas showcasing various products, innovations, agricultural produce and the potential of the state’s agro and agrotourism sectors.  

Perak’s participation in MAHA 2026 serves as an important platform to showcase the strengths, uniqueness and potential of the state’s agricultural sector, besides introducing local entrepreneurs’ products and capabilities to visitors from within and outside the country.  

This event also opens up wider opportunities for industry players and entrepreneurs to build strategic cooperation networks, explore new market prospects and strengthen the promotion of Perak’s agricultural and agrotourism products.  

The presence of the Ipoh City Council (MBI) at the programme reflects the local authority’s continued support for Perak State Government’s efforts in strengthening the agriculture, entrepreneurship and tourism sectors as among the drivers of economic growth and sustainable development in the state.

MAHA is one of the country’s largest agricultural exhibitions, bringing together government agencies, industry players, entrepreneurs and the community on one platform to showcase the latest developments in agriculture, horticulture, food technology and agrotourism.
