JOYOUS 2026 NEW YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATION IN IPOH

IPOH, 31 DECEMBER 2025 – Sultan Azlan Shah Roundabout, Meru, Ipoh became the focal point for the public during the 2026 New Year’s Eve Celebration held today, Wednesday, 31 December 2025. The celebration was enlivened with a variety of interesting and inclusive activities for all levels of society. 

Among the main activities of the programme were cultural performances from various races, food and beverage stalls, Perak Tourism Quiz, a Meet & Greet session with the Perak Tourism mascot, a fireworks display marking the countdown to the New Year and singing performances by popular guest artists, Siti Nordiana and Afieq Shazwan.

The variety of activities offered not only provided entertainment to visitors, but also strengthened Ipoh’s image as an attractive tourism destination and a dynamic, inclusive city.

The celebration was attended by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, together with the Perak State leadership.

Also present was Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, as a sign of support and commitment from the local authority towards organising community and cultural activities that have a positive impact on the residents of Ipoh city.

It is hoped that the organisation of this celebration will foster unity among the multiracial community and provide space for the public to welcome the arrival of the New Year 2026 in a harmonious, safe and joyous atmosphere.
