LAUNCH CEREMONY OF PERAKKU ASTANA CHEMOR HOUSING PROJECT

CHEMOR, 12 JULY 2026 – The Launch Ceremony of the Perakku Astana Chemor Housing Project was successfully held today at the Astana Chemor Project site as part of the ongoing effort to provide quality, comfortable and affordable homes for the people.

The ceremony was officiated by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad.

Also present were State Housing and Local Government Committee Chairman Sandrea Ng Shy Ching, Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, representatives of government agencies, developers, strategic partners and invited guests. 

At the event, the Perak Menteri Besar performed the symbolic handover of a replica key for the Astana Chemor Phase 1 Project, marking another significant milestone in the effort to meet the housing needs of the community in Chemor and its surrounding areas. 

The Menteri Besar then launched the Astana Chemor Phase 2 Project and officiated the project's show house. The launch of this new phase reflects confidence in the development potential of Chemor as a well-planned and liveable settlement. 

The development of the Perakku Astana Chemor Housing Project is expected to help more people own their own homes, besides stimulating local economic growth and creating a living environment that is more comfortable, safe and prosperous.
