LORONG SENI@LORANG PANGLIMA IPOH FUNNY WITH CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION EVENT
25 January 2025- The atmosphere at Lorong Seni@Lorong Panglima Ipoh this morning was lively with the organization of the 2025 Chinese New Year Celebration Program.
The program organized by the Community Services Department of the Ipoh City Council (MBI) was officiated by Y.Bhg. Clr. Dato’ Ahmad Hariri bin Kamarudin, MBI Council Member and Chairman of the MBI Tourism, Arts, Culture and Heritage Subcommittee.
Also present at the program this morning were Council Members, Department Heads and Council Officers.
This program was organized to provide an opportunity for Ipoh city residents to get to know the traditions and cultures of the multi-racial community in celebrating community festivals in this country.
Various activities were held throughout the event, including a lion dance performance, a Chinese drum performance from the Ma Ching Ipoh Sports and Cultural Association as well as the MBI Gema Warisan Budaya cultural performance and handicraft sales from local craft entrepreneurs in Ipoh city.
It is hoped that by organizing this Chinese New Year Celebration Program, it will further strengthen the city's residents' understanding of the culture of the Chinese community in celebrating this meaningful celebration.
