MAYOR OF IPOH ATTENDS INVEST IN PERAK DAY 2026 PROGRAMME

Ipoh, 20 August 2026 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah attended the Invest in Perak Day 2026 programme at the Casuarina Convention Centre (CCC), Hotel Casuarina@Meru, Ipoh today. 

This prestigious programme, which brought together industry players, investors and strategic partners, was officiated by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad. 

Also present was Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Dato’ Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, who delivered a special speech at the programme. 

The organising of Invest in Perak Day 2026 served as a strategic platform to strengthen the state’s investment ecosystem, besides opening up space for the formation of closer networking and collaboration among the government, relevant agencies, industry players and the business community. 

The presence of the Mayor of Ipoh reflects Ipoh City Council’s (MBI) continuous commitment in supporting the Perak State Government’s efforts to strengthen economic competitiveness, thereby enhancing the appeal of Ipoh and the state of Perak as a strategic, conducive and competitive investment destination. 

These efforts to empower the investment and industrial development sectors are in line with the aspiration to stimulate local economic growth, create more job opportunities and improve the standard of living and wellbeing of the people.
