MAYOR OF IPOH FLAGS OFF PERAK SEJAHTERA CREATIVE RUN 2026

IPOH, 19 SEPTEMBER 2026 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah flagged off participants of the Perak Sejahtera Creative Run 2026, held in conjunction with the Youth-Friendly Carnival (KAMU) 2026 at Stadium Indera Mulia, Ipoh, this morning. 

The organising of this event was among the initiatives to encourage youths and the community to cultivate a healthy, active and fit lifestyle. 

At the same time, the programme also served as a platform to strengthen relationships, foster a sense of togetherness and encourage positive interaction in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. 

The programme further enlivened the activities of KAMU 2026 as a platform bringing together young people through a variety of positive, creative and beneficial activities. 

Such an approach can empower the potential of youths and encourage them to actively participate in community programmes. 

Immediately after the run, the event continued with the presentation of lucky draw prizes as a token of appreciation to participants for their support and involvement in enlivening the programme. 

The Ipoh City Council (MBI) welcomes the organisation of such programmes, which align with the aspirations of Perak Sejahtera 2030, besides supporting efforts to make Ipoh a healthy, active, inclusive and prosperous city.
