MAYOR OF IPOH GOES DOWN TO THE GROUND TO INSPECT OPERATIONS OF MBI ENFORCEMENT AND SAFETY DEPARTMENT
IPOH, 13 JUNE 2025 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah made a working visit to the Ipoh City Council (MBI) Enforcement and Safety Department, located on Jalan Bandar this morning.
Accompanying him was MBI Enforcement and Safety Department Director Ahmad Zaiyadi Sudin.
The visit aimed to observe the department’s daily operations and have a deeper understanding of the roles and challenges faced in carrying out law enforcement duties and maintaining city safety effectively and efficiently.
During the visit, the Mayor was given a detailed briefing by Department Assistant Director Muhamad Zul Hazmi Sham, regarding the implementation of enforcement operations, including monitoring compliance with by-laws, managing public complaints, and field actions.
He also received a separate briefing on the implementation of safety operations from Enforcement Division Assistant Head Muhammad Nadzir Rosli. This briefing detailed the role of MBI security guards in ensuring the safety of premises and public facilities, as well as assisting in reporting any suspicious incidents in the city area. Also presented was information on the Skuad Ihsan Madani, i.e., a post-disaster assistance team under the supervision of MBI.
The Mayor also took the opportunity to tour the office facilities and engage with officers, staff and security guards on duty, as a gesture of appreciation for their commitment in ensuring the city of Ipoh remains peaceful and orderly.
In his address, he emphasised the importance of strengthening enforcement and safety functions so that the implementation of the law can be carried out transparently, fairly and with integrity. He also called on all MBI staff to remain united and be committed in realising the vision of making Ipoh a Smart and Prosperous City.
Hopefully, such programmes will inject new spirit and boost motivation among the workforce to continue providing excellent services for the well-being of the residents of Ipoh.
