PERAK BUDGET 2027 DIALOGUE: A PLATFORM FOR SHARING IDEAS FOR THE WELLBEING OF THE PEOPLE

IPOH, 30 SEPTEMBER 2026 – The Perak State Government continues its inclusive approach in charting the state’s development direction through the organising of the Perak Budget 2027 Dialogue, which brought together various parties to share views, ideas and suggestions in preparing the 2027 Budget.  

The programme was attended by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, who also delivered a summary at the end of the dialogue session.  

Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah was also present at the programme as a show of support from the Ipoh City Council (MBI) for the State Government’s efforts to strengthen development planning that is more comprehensive, sustainable and oriented to the needs of the people.  

Among the main highlights of the programme was the Presentation of the Perak Budget 2027 Study by TPr. Dr. Zulqarnain Mohamad, Chief Executive Officer of Institute Darul Ridzuan (IDR), followed by a dialogue and idea-sharing session with the participants. 

The session served as an important platform to obtain input and views from various parties on the state’s development priorities, besides identifying current issues and needs that could be given attention in preparing the Perak Budget 2027.  

The organising of this dialogue also reflects the Perak State Government’s commitment to practise an engagement approach in the development planning process, thereby ensuring that the policies and initiatives formulated can benefit the people and support the aspirations of Perak Sejahtera 2030.  

MBI remains ready to continue working closely with the State Government and relevant agencies in realising the state’s development agenda, particularly in strengthening the delivery of municipal services and improving the wellbeing and quality of life of Ipoh city residents.
