PERAK LOCAL GOVERNMENT STANDING COMMITTEE MEETING FOCUSES ON IMPROVING LOCAL AUTHORITY SERVICES

IPOH, 24 JUNE 2025 – The Perak Local Government Standing Committee Meeting was held with various presentations and discussions focusing on efforts to improve the quality of services and development at the local government level.

The meeting was chaired by State Housing and Local Government Committee Chairman Sandrea Ng Shy Ching, and was also attended by Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, along with the Presidents and Secretaries of Local Authorities from throughout Perak.

The effectiveness of local government administration is an important aspect that directly influences the level of urban development and the quality of life of the people. Therefore, continuous improvement efforts will continue to be mobilised to ensure that the services delivered are more efficient, effective and meet the needs of the local community.

This meeting was also an important platform for coordinating policy implementation, formulating joint strategies, and strengthening local authority governance in facing current challenges.
