PERAK STATE LEVEL WARRIORS’ DAY CELEBRATION 2026

IPOH, 31 JULY 2026 – The Perak State Level Warriors’ Day Celebration 2026 was held with full ceremony at Dataran Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan in Ipoh this morning.

HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the ceremony.

Also present were HH Raja Muda Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and HH Raja Di Hilir Perak, Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Sultan Idris Shah.

The ceremony was also attended by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, together with the Perak State Government leadership.

Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah was also present to join in making the meaningful celebration a success.

The ceremony began with the Royal Salute and the singing of the Perak State Anthem, followed by the inspection of the Main Guard of Honour by HRH the Sultan of Perak.

The ceremony continued with the lowering of the Malaysian Flag accompanied by the sounding of the “Last Post”, followed by a special doa and a poetry recitation to commemorate the service, sacrifice and courage of the nation’s warriors.

The “Rouse” was then sounded and the Malaysian Flag was raised again, as a symbol of resurgence, patriotism and respect for the fighters who had defended the sovereignty and peace of the country.

The ceremony continued with the singing of the Perak State Anthem before the Main Guard of Honour marched out of formation.

After the parade, His Royal Highness proceeded to the Banquet Reception at Dewan Bankuet, Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan.

The banquet was enlivened with a pantomime performance titled “Pahlawan”, which depicted Operation Subuh during the Al-Ma’unah incident in Sauk, Perak, on 6 July 2000.

The performance re-enacted the incident involving the incursion into the 304th Territorial Army Operations Room, besides commemorating the sacrifices of Corporal Sagadevan A/L Rajoo from the Kuala Kangsar District Police Headquarters and Trooper Matthew Anak Medan, who fell in the line of duty while defending the nation’s security.

Warriors’ Day is held to commemorate and honour the sacrifices of security personnel and the nation’s fighters who fought with courage to defend the homeland.

The Ipoh City Council extends its highest appreciation and respect to all the nation’s warriors, including members of the Malaysian Armed Forces, Royal Malaysia Police and security forces who continue to serve in safeguarding the peace and wellbeing of the people.

The services and sacrifices of these warriors will always be remembered. The spirit of courage, loyalty and love for the country demonstrated by them should serve as an exemplary model for all segments of society and future generations.

The ceremony concluded with the departure of HRH the Sultan of Perak.
