TAQARRUB WITH YOUNG PEOPLE PROGRAMME ENGAGES YOUTHS THROUGH CASUAL APPROACH AND SPIRITUAL CONTENT

IPOH, 18 SEPTEMBER 2026 – The Taqarrub With Young People Programme, held in conjunction with the Youth-Friendly Carnival (KAMU) 2026, took place in a lively atmosphere at Stadium Indera Mulia, Ipoh, as a platform to reach out and engage with youths through a casual, interactive approach based on spiritual values.

The programme was attended by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad. Also present was Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, together with State Government leaders, heads of departments, invited guests and youths from throughout Perak.

The programme featured two casual talk sessions with renowned speaker Ustaz Don Daniyal Don Biyajid, moderated by local presenter and celebrity Ahmad Nabil Ahmad.

The programme was further enlivened with a doa recitation and an acoustic performance, creating a relaxed, friendly and meaningful atmosphere. This approach allowed messages regarding character building, strengthening self-identity and the appreciation of noble values to be conveyed to youths in a more personal, fresh and effective manner.

The organising of such a programme is highly significant in providing a space for healthy and positive interaction to the younger generation, besides raising awareness on the importance of balancing spiritual, emotional and social development.

The presence of the Perak Menteri Besar reflects the State Government’s continued concern and commitment to engaging with youths, understanding their aspirations and empowering young people as future leaders and drivers of the state’s development.

The Ipoh City Council (MBI) welcomes the implementation of programmes that benefit the younger generation and supports the Perak State Government’s efforts to produce youths who are knowledgeable, ethical, resilient and capable of making meaningful contributions to the development of society, the state and the nation.

This programme is also in line with the aspirations of Perak Sejahtera 2030 and MBI’s commitment to realising Ipoh Bestari Sejahtera, particularly through the creation of a harmonious, inclusive and prosperous city community.
