FLY THE JALUR GEMILANG CAMPAIGN IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 69TH NATIONAL DAY AND MALAYSIA DAY 2026 CELEBRATIONS
IPOH, 30 JULY 2026 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) calls on all owners of buildings, business premises, firms, factories and private residences within the MBI administrative area to join in making the Fly the Jalur Gemilang Campaign in conjunction with the 69th National Day and Malaysia Day 2026 Celebrations a success.
In conjunction with this year's celebration, the theme “Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati” (Malaysia MADANI: Shared Prosperity) has been selected to symbolise the continuous commitment to strengthening unity, igniting the spirit of patriotism and appreciating the blessings of independence enjoyed together.
Hence, the public is encouraged to fly the Jalur Gemilang at their respective premises throughout the period from 1 August to 30 September 2026.
This initiative not only livens up the city atmosphere but also serves as a manifestation of our love, pride and loyalty to the country.
Premises owners are also advised to beautify their respective areas with appropriate lighting, attractive landscaping and to ensure cleanliness and cheerfulness are always at the best level.
To ensure that flags are displayed correctly and with full respect, the public must comply with the prescribed flag arrangement.
For premises with two flagpoles, the Jalur Gemilang should be flown alongside the state flag. For premises with three flagpoles, the arrangement should be the state flag, Jalur Gemilang and the institution or department flag, when viewed from outside the building.
Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah hopes that all parties will give their full support, commitment and cooperation in making this campaign a success.
The flying of the Jalur Gemilang is a symbol of our love and pride for the country.
Let us come together to liven up the atmosphere of the National Day celebrations and demonstrate the spirit of unity among the residents of Ipoh City.
MBI extends its appreciation and thanks to all parties for their support and cooperation in enlivening the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.
