IPOH, 26 JULY 2026 – The Ipoh City Council (MBI) views seriously the incident in which an MBI enforcement officer was assaulted and threatened while carrying out enforcement duties at Jalan Pengkalan Barat 35, Ipoh, on 24 July 2026.

Based on the incident report, the officer was believed to have been followed, harassed and threatened by a man after issuing a compound notice. The suspect was also believed to have acted aggressively, posing a threat to the officer's safety.

MBI wishes to stress that the enforcement officer involved was only carrying out his official duties and responsibilities in accordance with the provisions of the law, regulations and established standard operating procedures.
