TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF MBI SPORTS FACILITIES IN CONJUNCTION WITH MALAYSIA DAY 2026

IPOH, 14 SEPTEMBER 2026 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) wishes to inform that several sports facilities under its management will be temporarily closed to the public on 16 September 2026 (Wednesday) in conjunction with the Malaysia Day 2026 Celebration.

The facilities involved are the Tuanku Zara Aquatic Centre, Badminton Arena, Tennis Arena, Squash Arena and Table Tennis Arena.

The one-day closure is in line with the Malaysia Day celebration, which is observed nationwide on 16 September each year.

All the facilities concerned will reopen to the public as usual on 17 September 2026 (Thursday).

MBI seeks the cooperation and attention of the public, particularly users of these facilities, to plan their activities accordingly during the closure period.

The Council appreciates the public’s cooperation and understanding, and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
