Peranan dan tanggungjawab CIO - 

Roles and responsibilities of CIO:


  • Membantu YBhg. Datuk Bandar Ipoh dalam melaksanakan tugas-tugas yang melibatkan keperluan ICT di Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh;

    Assist the Mayor of Ipoh in performing tasks involving ICT needs in the Ipoh City Council;

  • Menyelaras dan memantau pembangunan, pengendalian dan pengurusan sistem aplikasi dan infrastruktur ICT di Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh;

    Coordinate and monitor the development, operations and management of ICT application systems and infrastructure in the Ipoh City Council;

  • Peneraju penggalakan pengunaan IT dalam Sistem Penyampaian Perkhidmatan Whole-Of-Government (WOG);

    An encouraging leader in the use of IT in Whole-Of-Government (WOG) Service Delivery System;

  • Memimpin dan melibatkan Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh dalam usaha-usaha kerajaan untuk membangun dan melaksanakan projek ICT sektor awam yang membawa perubahan dalam pengurusan dan pentadbiran Perkhidmatan Awam;

    Lead and involve the Ipoh City Council in government efforts to develop and implement public sector ICT projects that bring about changes in the management and administration of the Public Service;

  • Bertanggungawab ke atas perkara-perkara yang berkaitan dengan keselamatan ICT MBI;

    Responsible for matters related to MBI ICT security;

  • Menyelaras dan mengurus pelan latihan dan Program Kesedaran Keselamatan ICT seperti penyediaan Dasar Keselamatan ICT Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh serta pengurusan risiko dan pengauditan; 

    Coordinate and manage training plans and ICT Security Awareness Programmes, such as the preparation of the Ipoh City Council ICT Security Policy as well as risk management and auditing; 

  • Peneraju inovasi melalui aplikasi, infra dan keselamatan ICT.

    An innovation leader via ICT applications, infra and security.

  • Meneraju inisiatif pendigitalan di Kementerian/agensi melalui penggunaan data, analitis dan teknologi digital;

    Lead digitalisation initiatives in Ministries/agencies via the use of data, analytics and digital technology;

  • Mewujudkan budaya berpacukan data dalam sektor awam yang mengamalkan pendekatan principle-based melalui penggunaan data dan teknologi digital;

    Create a data-driven culture in the public sector that adopts a principle-based approach via the use of data and digital technology;

  • Mentransformasi penyampaian perkhidmatan digital di kementerian/agensi berfokusan pengalaman pelanggan (customer experience) yang berteraskan konsep Whole-Of-Government melalui inovasi melibatkan perkongsian data, data terbuka dan teknologi baru muncul;

    Transformation of digital services delivery in ministries/agencies, focussing on customer experience based on the Whole-Of-Government concept via innovations involving data sharing, open data and emerging technologies;

  • Menilai, menyelaras, memperaku keperluan perkhidmatan digital, Technical Service Design dan bajet pembangunan serta mengurus agensi sebagai pelaksana inisiatif dan projek pendigitalan;

    Assess, coordinate, certify the needs of digital services, Technical Service Design and development budget as well as manage agencies as implementers of digitalisation initiatives and projects;

    • Meneraju perubahan melalui Penjajaran Pelan Strategik Pendigitalam (PSP) Kementerian/Negeri/Agensi dengan:

      • Memastikan PSP agensi selari dengan PSP Sektor Awam dan Pengurusan Risiko dan Pelan Pengurusan Perubahan;
      • Memastikan Blueprint Enterprise Architecture (EA) agensi tersedia;
      • Memantapkan struktur tadbir urus pendigitalan agensi & menyelaras penggunaan dasar, standard dan amalan terbaik global.

      Lead change via the Ministry/State/Agency Digitalisation Strategic Plan (DSP) Alignment by:

      • Ensuring the agency’s DSP is in line with the Public Sector DSP and Risk Management and Change Management Plan;
      • Ensuring the agency’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) Blueprint is available;
      • Strengthening the agency’s digitalisation governance structure & coordinating the application of global policies, standards and best practices.
  • Melaporkan pelaksanaan dan kemajuan transformasi pendigitalan kepada YBhg. Ketua Setiausaha Negara sebagai Pengerusi Kluster Kerajaaan di bawah Majlis Ekonomi Digital dan 4IR Negara melalui sekretariat Kluster kerajaan.

    Report on the implementation and progress of digitalisation transformation to the Chief Secretary to the Government, as Chairman of the Government Cluster under the National Digital Economy and 4IR Council through the Government Cluster secretariat.
