APPRECIATION AND FAREWELL CEREMONY FOR CITY SECRETARY

IPOH, 13 APRIL 2026 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah today expressed his highest appreciation and gratitude to City Secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak for his invaluable service, contributions and dedication throughout his tenure with the Ipoh City Council (MBI). 

Speaking at the ‘Sanjungan Budi, Lambaian Kasih’ Ceremony for the City Secretary held earlier today, he described the occasion as a symbol of respect and appreciation by MBI staff towards an administrative leader who is authoritative, dedicated and trustworthy in carrying out his responsibilities. 

According to him, throughout his service at MBI, Ahmad Munir has demonstrated high commitment, meticulous management and wisdom in carrying out the trust entrusted to him. 

He also informed that Ahmad Munir will be transferred to the Muallim District to take on a new responsibility as Muallim District Officer. This transfer reflects recognition of his capability, experience and leadership in the public service. 

He added that the ceremony not only reflects the close relationships within the organisation on the basis of work but was also strengthened by values of mutual respect, brotherhood and deep appreciation. 

On behalf of all MBI staff, he prayed that Ahmad Munir will always be blessed with good health, peace of mind, happiness with his family and continue to achieve excellence in carrying out his responsibilities in his new place. 

The Mayor also extended his appreciation to all parties who worked hard to make the ceremony a success and hoped that the event will remain a fond memory and a manifestation of respect for a person who has contributed greatly to the organisation.
