DATA SHARING ACT 2025 AWARENESS PROGRAMME (ACT 864) AT STATE GOVERNMENT LEVEL

PUTRAJAYA, 3 JUNE 2025 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah attended the Data Sharing Act 2025 (Act 864) Awareness Programme at the State Government Level, held at the Conference Hall, Putrajaya International Convention Centre this morning.

Also present at the programme was Ipoh City Council Information Technology Department Director Ts. Abdul Rasef Abdul Rani.

The programme aimed to raise awareness and provide a clear understanding of the implementation of Act 864 to the State Secretariats, government departments and agencies, as well as Local Authorities (PBT) at the state level.

The implementation of Act 864 is expected to strengthen the governance of open data sharing in the public sector through more structured, secure and effective data sharing practices, in line with the initiative to digitise government services.
