INSPECTORATE VISIT & EVALUATION OF SPECIAL SECURITY PROTECTION AWARD 2025 AT IPOH CITY COUNCIL
24 JUNE 2025 – Perak Chief Government Security Office Assistant Director Aminudin Ramli led a delegation of Inspectorate officers to conduct the Inspectorate Visit and Assessment of the Special Security Protection Award 2025 at the Ipoh City Council (MBI) this morning.
This Inspectorate programme is very significant in ensuring that the department’s level of security practices and protection systems are always in optimal condition. The evaluation covers various important aspects, such as management commitment, physical security, document security and personal security – all of which are the main pillars of integrity and administrative efficiency of a government organisation.
Even more commendable is that the implementation of this programme is based on the MS ISO 9001:2015 Standard, and is participated in by Government Security Officers and Assistant Officers from across the country. This clearly reflects the government's commitment to continuously strengthening the security protection system at all levels of departments and agencies.
As one of the performance benchmarks, recognition and Special Awards based on a star rating system have also been introduced. This approach is a strategic step towards cultivating excellence in the field of security – an area often considered behind the scenes, but very important in ensuring the continuity of a public service with integrity and secure.
The Ipoh City Council is always committed to being a Local Authority that is not only efficient and responsive, but also places strong emphasis on security in the management of documents, assets and staff well-being. Evaluations such as this provide opportunities for continuous improvement towards strengthening security practices in line with the aspirations of the Malaysia’s public service.Hopefully, this visit and evaluation will bring positive impacts and contribute to the continuous improvement of security protection levels at the Ipoh City Council.
