IPOH CITY COUNCIL’S OFFICIAL WORKING VISIT TO BP BATAM
14 January 2025 – City Secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak led a delegation from the Ipoh City Council on an official working visit to Badan Pengusahaan Batam. The delegation was also given a Briefing on the Development of the Batam Free Trade Zone besides the progress around Batam City.
The briefing session and official working visit were also attended by council members Clr. Datuk Mazlan Abd Rahman, Clr. Zuraidah Zakaria, Clr. Faidz Ismail, Senior Director (Services) LAr. Meor Abdullah Zaidi Meor Razali, and officers from the One-Stop Centre Unit (OSC), Town Planning Department, Infrastructure Engineering Department, Development Control Department, and Parks and Landscape Department, which are departments involved in processing development plan applications. The visit was also attended by External Technical Departments, such as the Perak Land and Mines Office (PTG), Ipoh District and Land Office, Perak Housing and Property Board (LPHP), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), and Perak Water Board (LAP).
The visit was to give exposure to JKOSC members on urban planning and property development in Batam, as well as to enhance knowledge about development in Batam, especially regarding investors and development.
