The ceremony was officiated by Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah.

According to the Mayor, the total allocation for this balloting session amounted to RM928,740, funded by MARRIS and the Ipoh City Council.

The allocation involved two main categories:

This balloting was open to CIDB Grade G1 contractors in Kinta District for civil engineering works and contractors registered with the Ministry of Finance (MOF).

To ensure compliance with the regulations set, the registration process and verification of CIDB, PKK and TCC certificates were carried out in advance.

A total of 125 contractors successfully registered. However, blacklisted contractors will not be selected from this draw process to ensure that the integrity and credibility of project implementation is always maintained.

The procurement value for each balloting is capped at RM200,000, in accordance with the Malaysia Treasury Circular PK 2.21 – Government Procurement/Project Implementation Methods 2026, thus proving the commitment of the Government and MBI in providing fair opportunities to small contractors, especially G1 contractors.
