IPOH MAYOR ATTENDS PERAK STATE FLAG “BELANG TARUNG TIGA WARNA” HANDOVER CEREMONY FOR PERAK SUKMA AND PARA SUKMA CONTINGENTS 2026

IPOH, 5 AUGUST 2026 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah attended the Perak State Flag “Belang Tarung Tiga Warna” Handover Ceremony for the Perak Malaysia Games (SUKMA) and Para SUKMA Contingents 2026 at Stadium Indera Mulia, Ipoh today.  

The ceremony was officiated by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, who handed over the state flag to the Perak Contingent Head to carry the state’s challenge at the 2026 SUKMA and Para SUKMA games.

Also present were State Education, Higher Education, Youth and Sports Committee Chairman Dato’ Khairudin Abu Hanipah, State Secretary cum Perak Para SUKMA Contingent Head 2026 Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, team management, coaches, officials and athletes.  

The ceremony began with the entrance parade of the SUKMA and Para SUKMA teams, followed by the singing of Negaraku and the Perak State Anthem, doa recitation, athletes’ pledge and the handover of the contingent flag.  

The attendance of the Mayor of Ipoh reflects the continued support of Ipoh City Council towards the Perak State Government’s efforts to develop the sports sector and produce athletes who are competitive, disciplined and capable of bringing glory to the state at the national level.  

The Ipoh City Council extends its congratulations and best wishes for success to the entire Perak SUKMA and Para SUKMA Contingents 2026. May the athletes deliver their best performances, uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and bring home success for Perak.
