MAIN PRIZE PRESENTATION CEREMONY OF ASSESSMENT TAX 2025 LUCKY DRAW

19 March 2025 – Ipoh Mayor Dato' Rumaizi Baharin@Md Daud officiated the Main Prize Presentation Ceremony of the Assessment Tax 2025 Lucky Draw this morning.

Also present were MBI Chief WHIP Dato' Mazlan Abd. Rahman, Council Members, City Secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak, Senior Directors and department heads of MBI.

The Assessment Tax Lucky Draw programme has been implemented for the past few years and received very encouraging response.

The offering of fantastic prizes in this lucky draw programme is a token of appreciation and gratitude from the Council to the taxpayers who fulfill their responsibilities to Ipoh City.

This year, the Council has offered 228 attractive prizes in the form of cash and various amazing items totalling RM 100,000 to be won by the lucky residents, with the grand prize of a Perodua Bezza 1.0G. This is the second year that the Council has offered lucky draw prizes in the form of goods, compared to four years ago when only cash was offered due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On 6 March 2025, the Council conducted 228 lucky draws digitally to identify the winners among the city residents, and this morning the Council held a special draw again with 28 draws to determine the recipients of the Main prizes offered.

The Council has recorded 131,272 bills with a total payment of RM 60.79 million. This payment is a positive sign of the residents’ acceptance of the Annual Assessment Tax Bill introduced, as well as the Lucky Draw conducted by the Ipoh City Council.

May the residents of Ipoh, who have fulfilled their responsibilities by paying their assessment tax bills, along with their continuous strong support to the Council, help in realising MBI's aspiration to make Ipoh a Smart and Prosperous City.
