MBI STRENGTHENS STRATEGIC COOPERATION WITH NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL (MKN)

PUTRAJAYA, 1 OCTOBER 2026 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah today paid a courtesy call on Dato’ Raja Nurshirwan Zainal Abidin, Director-General of the National Security Council (MKN), in Putrajaya.  

The meeting was held to strengthen strategic relations between the Ipoh City Council (MBI) and MKN, besides exploring areas of cooperation that could be further enhanced in the future.  

The session also served as a platform for both parties to exchange views on matters concerning the interests of the city, security aspects and the wellbeing of the people.  

Close cooperation between local authorities and Federal Government agencies is very important to ensure that security, urban management and service delivery to the community can be carried out in a more integrated and effective manner.  

It is hoped that the strategic relationship reinforced through this courtesy visit can open up more opportunities for the sharing of expertise, views and experiences between MBI and MKN for mutual benefit.
