NOTICE OF ROAD REPAIR AND RESURFACING WORKS ON JALAN RAJA DIHILIR AND JALAN LAHAT FOR 2026

IPOH, 10 JULY 2026 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) wishes to inform the public that road repair and resurfacing works, along with related activities, are currently being carried out along Jalan Raja Dihilir and Jalan Lahat under the approved 2026 MARRIS allocation. 

The implementation of this project aims to improve safety, comfort and traffic flow, while ensuring road infrastructure is in better condition for the convenience of road users. 

For Jalan Raja Dihilir, the repair and resurfacing works involve two main routes, i.e., the directions towards Ipoh City and towards Tambun. The project is scheduled to span 20 weeks, commencing on 6 July 2026 (Monday) until 23 November 2026 (Monday). 

Meanwhile, for Jalan Lahat, resurfacing works will be carried out on the stretch from the Jalan Leong Boon Swee Junction to the Jalan Kledang Utara Junction, as well as on the opposite direction. 

The project is expected to take 10 weeks, commencing on 6 July 2026 (Monday) until 14 September 2026 (Monday). 

In connection with the implementation of these works, road users are advised to always comply with safety signs, traffic management instructions, and plan their journeys in advance to avoid any inconvenience. 

MBI also seeks the cooperation of all premises owners and road users not to park vehicles or remove any obstructions on road reserves, lanes and road shoulders to facilitate the execution of repair works according to the set schedule.
