RECITATION OF YASIN, TAHLIL AND DOA SELAMAT CEREMONY IN CONJUNCTION WITH PERAK STATE-LEVEL NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION 2026 AND OPENING OF MASJID IMAM AS-SYAFIE

IPOH, 30 AUGUST 2026 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Recitation of Yasin, Tahlil and Doa Selamat Ceremony in conjunction with the Perak State-Level National Day Celebration 2026 and the Opening of Masjid Imam As-Syafie, held at Masjid Imam As-Syafie, Hala Meru Utama 1, Ipoh tonight. 

The event was also attended by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, together with the state leadership, heads of departments and representatives of government agencies. 

Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah was also present at the blessed ceremony. 

At the ceremony, His Royal Highness officiated the opening of Masjid Imam As-Syafie, marking the mosque’s official opening as a centre of worship and local community engagement.

The ceremony then continued with the recitation of Yasin, Tahlil and Doa Selamat, as an expression of gratitude and to seek continued blessings, peace and wellbeing for Perak in particular and Malaysia in general. 

The organising of this event was among the spiritual programmes held in conjunction with the Perak State-Level National Day Celebration 2026, serving as a platform to express gratitude for the blessings of peace, harmony, stability and wellbeing that continue to be enjoyed by the people. 

Such religious programmes also serve as an important medium in fostering the spirit of love for the country based on the values of faith, unity and togetherness, besides strengthening harmony among a multiracial and multireligious society. 

It also reflects that the spirit of patriotism is not only expressed through celebrations and the flying of the Jalur Gemilang, but is also manifested through gratitude, prayers and a shared resolve to continue preserving the nation’s peace and prosperity for future generations. 

The ceremony concluded with the congregational Isyak prayer before HRH the Sultan of Perak graciously departed.
