YASIN RECITATION CEREMONY AND SPECIAL TALK IN CONJUNCTION WITH 37TH ANNIVERSARY OF IPOH CITY

IPOH, 12 JUNE 2025 – The Ipoh City Council (MBI) organised a Yasin Recitation Ceremony and Special Talk in conjunction with Ipoh City 37th Anniversary Celebration, which took place last night at Al-Ansar Mosque, Meru Impian.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Yasin and Maghrib prayer in congregation, followed by a special talk titled "Implikasi Hijrah Rasulullah: Pembentukan Bandar Islam Pertama”, delivered by guest speaker Al-Fadhil Ustaz Muhammad Izzat Syafiq Mohammed Tarmizi, Fatwa Officer and Istinbat and Information Unit Head, Perak Mufti Department. The event continued with the congregational Isyak prayer.

Also present were Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, Council Members, City Secretary, Senior Directors, Department Heads, officers and staff of MBI.

The organisation of this event was one of the spiritual activities held in conjunction with the city anniversary celebration, aimed at instilling Islamic values, strengthening bonds of brotherhood, and fostering a sense of reflection among staff and the local community.
