TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF TUANKU ZARA AQUATIC CENTRE EXTENDED UNTIL 17 AUGUST 2026

Ipoh City Council (MBI) wishes to inform that the temporary closure period of the Tuanku Zara Aquatic Centre has been extended until 17 August 2026 as the water pump maintenance work could not be completed according to the original schedule.  

The maintenance work started on 31 July 2026 and was initially expected to be completed by 12 August 2026. However, due to factors related to the implementation of the maintenance work, the closure period had to be extended to ensure that all works are completed properly and the facility is safe and suitable for use.  

Accordingly, the Tuanku Zara Aquatic Centre will remain closed until 17 August 2026 and is expected to resume normal operations from 18 August 2026.  

MBI apologises for any inconvenience caused and greatly appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation throughout this closure period.  

Any further developments regarding the operations of the Tuanku Zara Aquatic Centre will be announced via the official channels of the Ipoh City Council.
