COMPLIANCE WITH BUSINESS PREMISES LICENCE

IPOH, 29 JULY 2026 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) reminds all business operators and owners within the MBI administrative area to always comply with the terms and regulations related to business premises licensing.  

In this regard, all business operators and owners are required to take the following actions:

1. Renew expired business premises licence and advertising signboard licence immediately; 
2. Submit applications for business premises and advertising signboard licences if they do not yet have valid business licences; and  
3. Display valid business premises licence in a clearly visible location at their respective premises throughout business operating hours. 

Compliance with licensing requirements is very important to ensure that all business activities are conducted legally, in an orderly manner and in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations currently in force.  

MBI will conduct monitoring and inspections from time to time.   

Any business operator or owner who fails to comply with the licensing requirements and directives may face enforcement action in accordance with the relevant provisions of the law.  

Therefore, all parties involved are urged to take immediate action to avoid any inconvenience or enforcement action. 

The cooperation and commitment of all business operators and owners in complying with licensing regulations are greatly appreciated in order to create a business environment that is orderly, safe and conducive in Ipoh City.
