This was the second year of the programme, jointly organised by the Quantity Surveying & Procurement Unit, the Public-Private Partnership Unit and the Ipoh Doughnut Economy Secretariat. The event was held at Dataran Bandaraya Ipoh.

The "Deko Piknik" Programme received very encouraging response with 30 participants of diverse backgrounds from among the city residents.

Participants were given two hours, starting at 8.00 am, to decorate a 10 x 15 square-foot space according to their creativity, based on the theme "Boho Garden Picnic".

The theme highlighted several key elements:

  1. Modern Bohemian;
  2. Floral and greenery;
  3.  Relaxed and aesthetic layout;
  4. Creative use of decorative materials;
  5. Family-friendly and recreational elements.

In line with the vision of Ipoh Bestari Sejahtera, participants were encouraged to use creative, safe, neat and eco-friendly decorative materials within the programme area.

Judging was conducted by three judges, including one public judge.

The panel of judges was led by MBI Corporate Affairs Principal Assistant Director Faridah Abdul Aziz, alongside MBI Town Planning Assistant Director Anis Zulaikha Ahmad Kamal, and Lau Zhen Huan, a public judge from Sin Chew Daily.

Evaluation was based on adherence to the theme, cheerfulness, creativity and cleanliness of the decorated space.

The prize-giving ceremony was officiated by Clr. Zuraidah Zakaria. The champion, Roadway to Heaven, took home a cash prize of RM1,000.

Second place went to DecoByMakcik.Co with RM750, while third place was won by Khayra Florist, receiving RM500.
