ANTI-BRIBERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TRANSITION COURSE TO THE NEW VERSION

Ipoh City Council (MBI) organised the Anti-Bribery Management System Transition Course to the new version from 21 to 23 April 2026, in preparation for the transition from the MS ISO 37001:2016 standard to MS ISO 37001:2025 version.

The course and workshop was attended by Integrity Unit Head Syahrir Zakaria, MBI officers, ABMS Working Committee members and appointed Internal Auditors. The course was conducted by Suhaini Hassan from Mercu Inovasi Training & Consulting.

This two-day programme focused on strengthening governance, integrity and transparency of the organisation in line with current needs.

The transition to MS ISO 37001:2025 reflects MBI’s continued commitment to combating corruption through an emphasis on anti-corruption culture, management accountability and risk management, including ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) that can influence corruption risks, as well as strengthening due diligence and conflict of interest management.

MBI is moving towards an organisation with more integrity and realising sound governance to prevent leakages and abuse of power.

Integrity is not only about doing the right thing when people are watching, but also doing the right thing when no one is watching.
