IPOH MAYOR VISITS SUNWAY MEDICAL CENTRE IPOH

15 March 2025 - Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin@Md Daud made a working visit to Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh this afternoon.

The visit aimed to assess the healthcare facilities and other amenities available at Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh. 

Also present were MBI Councillor cum Tourism, Arts, Culture and Heritage Sub-Committee Chairman Toh Amar Pahlawan Dato' Ahmad Hariri Kamarudin, Sunway Healthcare Group President Dato' Lau Beng Long, Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh Chief Executive Officer Choy Wah Wei, Sunway Property Ipoh Executive Director Wong Wan Wooi, Council Members, City Secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak, Senior Directors and department heads of MBI. 

Speaking at the event, the Mayor expressed his congratulations on the initiative undertaken by Sunway and warmly welcomed the advanced healthcare facilities, which ultimately will benefit the residents of Ipoh city. 

The development of Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh will certainly benefit the community, including providing access to world-class medical treatment, offering high-quality medical expertise, enhancing the healthcare standards in the city, and reducing the need for residents to seek treatment outside of Ipoh. 

This initiative is in line with the vision of providing quality facilities and services that improve the quality of life for the residents of Ipoh. 

The Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh, built on a 3-acre site with an allocation of RM400 million, will be opened on 2 April 2025.
