MONITORING OPERATIONS OF RAMADAN BAZAAR LICENCE CONDITIONS

Ipoh City Council has conducted Monitoring Operations of Ramadan Bazaar Licence Conditions at every Ramadan Bazaar location within the MBI administrative area. Inspection and monitoring operations were carried out to enforce the Ramadan Bazaar licence conditions issued to every trader. A briefing session explaining the conditions was also held on 20 February 2025 for all MBI Ramadan Bazaar traders/ licensees.

As of 9 March 2025, a total of 738 stalls were inspected, and 54 compound offers were issued with a compound value of RM 11,150.00.

Among the conditions not complied by traders were not wearing aprons, caps and closed shoes, no anti-typhoid injections & food handler course certificates, and employing foreign workers.

The Council calls on Ramadan Bazaar traders to comply with the MBI Ramadan Bazaar licence conditions and to practice good food handling ethics to avoid the risk of food poisoning at Ramadan Bazaars.
