OFFICIAL VISIT BY CONSUL GENERAL OF JAPAN IN PENANG TO IPOH CITY COUNCIL

IPOH, 12 JUNE 2025 – The Ipoh City Council (MBI) today received an official visit from His Excellency Machida Shinya, Consul General of Japan in Penang, in an effort to strengthen bilateral relations between the two parties.

 

His arrival was warmly welcomed by Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah.

 

This visit aimed to foster friendly relations and open avenues for strategic cooperation through the sharing of knowledge, expertise and best practices.

 

The Ipoh City Council hopes that this visit will serve as a foundation for closer cooperation between both parties, thereby contributing to sustainable development and mutual progress.
