TOURISM, HEALTH AND DIGITAL SECTORS ARE ON IPOH MAYOR'S AGENDA TO BE DEVELOPED WITH IPOH CITY AND MEDAN CITY
9 January 2025- Three areas namely Tourism, Health and Digital became the agenda of the Mayor of Ipoh which was discussed to be jointly developed between the city of Ipoh and the Indonesian city of Medan.
The matter was stated by Y.Bhg. Dato' Rumaizi bin Bahrain, Mayor of Ipoh in a meeting session with Mr. Bobby Nasution, Mayor of Medan during the Working Visit of Ipoh City Council (MBI) to Medan, Indonesia.
According to Dato' Rumaizi, these three sectors are seen as very important and they will have a positive impact on the progress of both cities in addition to being a global agenda that needs to be emulated.
He further explained that the city of Ipoh is now ready and has implemented this agenda and wants to expand and share ideas with the City of Medan.
He said this while speaking in a meeting with Mr. Bobby Nasution, Mayor of Medan in conjunction with the MBI Council's Working Visit to Medan, Indonesia.
The three-day tour program, starting on January 8, has been arranged with a variety of interesting activities including meetings with the Mayor of Medan, visits to Medan tourism centers such as Maimun Palace, Mashun Grand Mosque and Tanjong A Fie in Medan City.
This visit was held with the aim of sowing ties of ukwah on the status of a city of friendship that has been intertwined for a long time.
For information, the friendship city relationship between the city of Ipoh and the city of Medan has been established since August 2009.
