MBI EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR PAYMENT OF ASSESSMENT TAX TERM 2/2026 UNTIL 30 SEPTEMBER 2026
IPOH, 4 SEPTEMBER 2026 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) wishes to inform that the deadline for payment of Assessment Tax for the Second Term of 2026 has been extended until 30 September 2026.
This extension is made to provide sufficient time and opportunity for property owners and taxpayers to settle their respective Assessment Tax payments.
The decision also takes into account current circumstances, including the implementation of the new assessment rates in July 2025, as well as the prevailing economic situation which has affected some city residents.
In this regard, taxpayers who still have outstanding payments for the Second Term of 2026 are advised to take advantage of this extended period to make payment before or on 30 September 2026.
MBI would also like to inform that the Notice E charge will begin to be imposed effective 1 October 2026 on accounts that have not settled payments after the stipulated deadline.
Therefore, MBI urges all property owners to check the status of their respective Assessment Tax and make payment within the stipulated period to avoid the imposition of Notice E charges and further actions.
The cooperation and concern of city residents in settling their Assessment Tax are greatly appreciated, as the revenue collected is important in supporting the provision and maintenance of municipal services and facilities for the wellbeing of all Ipoh residents.
