MAYOR VISITS URBAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT

IPOH, 4 JUNE 2025 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah made a working visit to the Ipoh City Council (MBI) Urban Services Department, located at the City Services Office in Buntong this morning. 

Also present during the visit was MBI Urban Services Director Manisegaran a/l Subramaniam.

During the visit, the Mayor delivered a message to the department personnel, while also spending time engaging with the officers and staff. He also inspected the office facilities and received a detailed briefing on Solid Waste Management and Public Cleaning from the Urban Services Director himself.

In his speech, he emphasised the desire for MBI to refocus on its core functions, i.e., ensuring city cleanliness, particularly in terms of waste collection, drain and grass maintenance, public lighting, and the management of parks and recreation areas.

He also called on all MBI staff to work together in realising the vision of making Ipoh a Smart and Prosperous City.

Hopefully, such programmes will inject new spirit and motivation among MBI staff to continue providing the best services to the residents of Ipoh.
